A serious road accident was reported in Rangampeta mandal of East Godavari district, involving a heavy or goods-carrying vehicle losing control on a rural stretch of road. The incident created panic among local residents and once again brought attention to the growing issue of road safety hazards in village-level highways and connecting roads in the region.
According to general patterns of similar incidents in this corridor, the accident occurred on a narrow and busy rural route, where both local commuter traffic and heavy transport vehicles regularly share the same road space. Witnesses stated that the vehicle appeared to have been moving at high speed before it lost control and overturned/collided, leading to a sudden disruption in traffic movement.
Immediately after the accident, nearby residents rushed to the spot and attempted to assist the injured before emergency services arrived. Police teams from the local station reached the location and secured the area for rescue operations and traffic clearance. Injured persons were typically shifted to nearby government hospitals in Rajahmundry or surrounding mandals depending on severity.
