Police conducted raids on illegal cockfighting and gambling dens operating in forest areas of East Godavari. More than 30 individuals were arrested, and cash running into lakhs of rupees, along with several vehicles, was seized.
Authorities stated that despite repeated crackdowns, gambling activities continue to surface in remote regions, especially during festive periods. Police have intensified surveillance and warned organizers against conducting such illegal events.
